1. Scope and operator
This policy describes how Lindsey Web Solutions, LLC (“LWS,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information on lindseywebsolutions.com and the public LWS properties LWS Studio, WebsiteLinter.com, EZ-Homelab.com, Sompt.io, SlipVerdict.com, and EmeraldOnline3DS.com. A product-specific notice supplements this policy and controls only for the product and subject where it provides a different or more specific rule.
When we build, host, maintain, or support a client website, the client generally determines why its visitor information is processed. We handle that information only to provide the contracted service and under the client’s instructions and agreement. The client’s own privacy notice applies to its visitors.
2. Information you provide
- Contact and service-request information such as name, business email, phone number, organization, website address, and message content.
- Website-audit inputs, including the public URL you authorize us to scan and the resulting technical report.
- Account, billing, support, configuration, and service-delivery information required by a product you choose to use.
- Community content or product-specific fields you intentionally submit. Product notices explain any special retention or anonymous-identity behavior.
Do not submit passwords, private keys, recovery codes, full payment-card numbers, private ROM or save files, health information, government identifiers, precise location, or other sensitive data through a general website form. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information through lindseywebsolutions.com or use it to infer characteristics.
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you; from your browser, device, and our delivery or security infrastructure; from a client when we act on that client’s instructions; from payment, identity, communications, and support providers; and from public websites or technical endpoints you authorize a product to analyze.
4. Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security systems process ordinary request data such as IP address, timestamp, requested path, browser or user-agent information, response status, and security events. We use this data for delivery, reliability, fraud and abuse prevention, diagnostics, and incident response.
On lindseywebsolutions.com, optional Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose “Allow analytics.” Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser. See the Cookie Policy.
5. How and why we use information
- Respond to requests and provide, secure, support, bill for, and improve services.
- Run an authorized, non-destructive scan of the public website address you submit.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, troubleshoot incidents, preserve evidence, and enforce agreements.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, security, and contractual obligations.
- Send marketing only where permitted and honor applicable opt-out or consent requirements.
Where a law requires a stated legal basis, we rely as applicable on consent; steps requested before entering a contract; performance of a contract; compliance with law; and legitimate interests such as operating, securing, improving, and defending our services, balanced against affected rights.
6. When information is disclosed
We do not sell personal information and do not disclose confidential client relationships for advertising. We may provide the minimum necessary information to infrastructure, payment, email, analytics, security, professional-adviser, and support providers that help us operate; to a client on whose behalf we process data; when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Providers may include our cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, Cloudflare for delivery and security, Google Analytics only after consent on this site, Google PageSpeed services for requested technical analysis, WebsiteLinter for requested audits, Stripe for product payments, and contracted email or support services. A product notice may identify additional providers.
7. Client confidentiality
Client identities, credentials, source material, non-public URLs, architecture, security findings, analytics, content, records, and project communications are confidential unless the client authorizes disclosure or law requires it. See Client Confidentiality & Data Handling.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain information only for a legitimate business, security, contractual, backup, tax, or legal need. Retention differs by product and agreement. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to backup rotation, fraud prevention, dispute preservation, and legal requirements. Product-specific policies may state shorter or fixed periods.
9. Security
We use risk-appropriate safeguards such as encrypted transport, access controls, least-privilege service accounts, monitoring, backups, patching, and network controls. No internet service can promise absolute security. Please follow our responsible disclosure process rather than sending vulnerability details through a public form.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a law applies to LWS or the relevant product, you may ask to know or access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a portable copy of personal information we control; withdraw consent; and opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising.
We honor legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where applicable. On lindseywebsolutions.com, a detected Global Privacy Control signal also defaults optional analytics to “Essential only.” We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may verify identity or an authorized agent’s authority before acting, and exceptions may apply for security, contracts, records, legal duties, and claims. If we deny an applicable request, you may appeal by replying to the decision with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. If LWS processes information solely for a client, we may direct the request to that client.
11. Children and international use
LWS commercial account services and community posting or browser-pairing features are not intended for children under 13. Paid services require the age stated in their product terms, commonly 18 or the age of majority. If we learn that a child submitted personal information without required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to disable the feature and remove the information. A parent or guardian may contact us using the details below. Information may be processed in the United States and in countries used by our contracted providers, subject to applicable contractual or legal protections.
12. Marketing communications
Service and security notices are not marketing. Any commercial email we send will identify the sender, avoid deceptive content, provide a working opt-out method and valid postal contact information, and honor applicable withdrawal or unsubscribe requirements. Product messages may offer more specific notification controls.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. Material changes will be identified by the updated date or an appropriate notice.
